SharedCost may share or make information available to third-party service providers when necessary to provide the application’s functionality. For example, cloud service providers may process information required for authentication, cloud storage, synchronization, notifications, analytics, diagnostics, or application security.
When you intentionally share a project with another participant, information associated with that project may be made available to the participants with whom you share it. This may include project information, participant information, expenses, deposits, and related project data. You are responsible for ensuring that you only share projects and information with people you trust.
If the account associated with a project is deleted, the associated project and its data are scheduled for permanent deletion and may remain in our systems for up to 30 days before being permanently removed.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of SharedCost, our users, or others.
You can delete your SharedCost account directly from within the application through the account or settings section.
When you delete your account, the associated SharedCost project and its related project data are scheduled for permanent deletion. The project and associated data may remain in our systems for up to 30 days while the deletion process is completed.
When you delete individual project data, such as an expense or deposit, the deleted information is immediately removed from the application and is no longer displayed or available to you. The underlying data may remain in our cloud systems for up to 30 days before it is permanently deleted.
After the applicable 30-day period, the deleted account, project, and associated data will be permanently removed from our active systems, except where certain information must be retained for a longer period to comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our agreements, or protect the security of SharedCost and its users.
Deleting the SharedCost application from your device does not itself delete your SharedCost account or cloud-stored information. To delete your account and associated data, use the account deletion option available within SharedCost.
SharedCost is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to provide consent to the processing of their personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable laws.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate consent, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
